Humphrey is a diabetic cat. When his owner could no longer care for him, Humphrey ended up in a shelter where he was not fed properly, and his diabetes went out of control. Seeking help, the shelter contacted Castaways Animal Rescue Effort. Hope took Humphrey home, and changed his diet from dry food to pate - no gravy! Adjustments were made to his insulin. By continuing with a proper diet, Humphrey has been stable for four years, and he no longer needs the insulin!
